A site to find out what's going on in my art business and to talk about my art.
About Me
- Mary-Anna Welch
- Beavercreek, Ohio, United States
- Mary-Anna Welch is an artist from Beavercreek, Ohio. Upon receiving her BFA and MA from the University of Illinois in Art Education, she shared her love of art in the private and public school systems for over 10 years. After experimenting with several different mediums, she has rediscovered her passion for painting and has settled on watercolor as her main focus. Her work in watercolors has evolved from the very abstract to a more graphic, non-traditional interpretation of her subject. She has incorporated her painting techniques that she used in oil to blend color on the canvas and translated these in her watercolor painting. This results in a blend of traditional colors and images with contemporary styles and forms. When asked about her subject matter, Mary-Anna responds, “I have a black thumb and can not grow anything but weeds. By painting my garden I will always have a rainbow of colors to enjoy no matter what season it is.” Mary-Anna continues to share her love of art by teaching art classes in her studio and at the local art center. You can find her busy painting in her studio or out at gathering ideas in a nearby garden.

New Exhibition Site
I just met with Sandra Power of Luxuriously Tall, a store catering to TALL women and teens here in the Dayton area. She has asked me to hang some of my floral pieces in her shop during the month of June. She's a lot of fun to talk to. If you're in the area, check it out. She has some gorgeous stuff (unfortunately for me-Miss Vertically Challenged) it won't fit me, but it might you! Her shop is located at 2440 Dayton-Xenia Road, Suite F in Bevercreek. You can call her at 888-259-3372. Just tell her I sent you!
